Art and Craft Exhibition in Wareham – Supporting Local History
Join us for a local Art and Craft Exhibition in Wareham, proudly organised by Love It Local. This one-day event showcases a stunning range of arts, prints, handmade cards, and locally made crafts – all available for sale. It’s a fantastic opportunity to support talented local makers while enjoying a creative day out in the heart of Wareham.
More than just a celebration of creativity, this exhibition is also a fundraiser for the restoration of the Anthony Trew Monument at Lady St Mary’s Church. Anthony Trew, who served as Mayor of Wareham seven times during the 18th century, played a vital role in the community – notably in the relief efforts following the Great Fire of Wareham in 1762. Read more about the Great Fire of Wareham on our Visit Wareham website.
The monument marking his legacy is now in urgent need of repair. Proceeds from artist donations and visitor contributions during the exhibition will directly support this important conservation project and the ongoing upkeep of the historic church.
Come along to the Art and Craft Exhibition in Wareham – discover unique, handcrafted treasures and help preserve a piece of Wareham’s rich history.
