Fabulous Fungi Walks

27 September & 11 October | 10am–1pm
Join experts from the Dorset Fungus Group for a guided fungi walk through Brownsea’s ancient woodlands. Discover a world of weird, wonderful, and sometimes rare mushrooms as you explore the island’s thriving autumnal ecosystem.

Mystical Woodland Quest Trail

25 October – 2 November | 10am–4pm
Step into a world where nature meets folklore. This self-guided trail is perfect for families and young explorers. Hear the mythical tales of the oak, birch, and yew trees, and enjoy nature-based activities along the way.

Exclusive Red Squirrel Guided Walk

13, 20 & 27 November | 12noon–4pm
Experience a rare and peaceful after-hours stroll through the island’s woodlands. Learn about Brownsea’s charming red squirrels from our expert guides, then relax with a delicious cream tea at Brownsea Castle.

Daily Red Squirrel Walks

14 September – 2 November | 11:30am & 1:30pm
Join our knowledgeable volunteers for daily guided walks to spot Brownsea’s famous red squirrels. Times may vary and are subject to volunteer availability—please phone ahead to confirm.

Reconnect with nature: Forest bathing experience

14 & 28 September. 10am-1.30pm

Experience the calming embrace of nature with our forest bathing sessions on Brownsea Island. Guided through calming woodlands, you’ll find peace and rejuvenation in this natural sanctuary.

Wild wetland bird walk

20 September & 18 October. 10am-12.30pm

Experience the avian marvels of Brownsea Island with our guided birdwatching walks. Led by a knowledgeable Dorset Wildlife Trust ranger, explore one of England’s top birdwatching sites, the Brownsea Lagoon.

Brownsea bliss: Yoga and meditation experience

Escape to the beauty of Brownsea Island for a rejuvenating yoga and meditation experience. The sessions will take place under tree canopy with stunning views of the Purbecks, suitable for all levels.

Way of the wild – Bushcraft taster sessions

31 October. 11am-12noon, 1-2pm & 3-4pm
