The Christmas ‘Lighting up Lives’ is returns to Swanage Pier this December. This is a magical event which combine digital tributes with a beautiful display of lights along Swanage Pier. As well as providing a stunning light display the event makes it possible for hundreds of people to fondly remember loved ones and celebrate those around them.
As well as the light display there are lots of fun Christmas activities along the pier including the option to visit Father Christmas and his donkeys, live music and much more. Find out more about visiting Father Christmas at Swanage Pier.
Come along on Friday 8th December from 5.30pm for the first night of the Pier illuminations. Enjoy music from local groups Kelp! and the Allsort’d Choir, be entertained by Christmas characters and watch the lights being switched on at 6.00pm by a very special guest. Complete your visit with something festive from the 1859 café and bistro and a browse around the shop for that perfect gift. Bring your family and friends along for a very special evening on Swanage Pier.
You can dedicate a light to celebrate, commemorate, show thanks, remember loved ones or to wish someone a special Christmas. Your light will shine brightly as part of a beautiful display up Swanage Pier and your dedication will feature on the Swanage Pier online ‘shine a light’ page. All proceeds raised go towards the ongoing maintenance of Swanage Pier.
