Swanage Folk Festival is a family friendly festival of music and dance in the beautiful seaside town of Swanage

A weekend of fun by the sea at the Swanage Folk Festival 5-7th September 2025

The Swanage Folk Festival is a family friendly event with music, dancing and much more. There are concerts with 20 top international Folk bands, colourful dance displays, workshops, shops, children’s activities, and a superb ceilidh.

Each year our small seaside town, on the beautiful Jurassic coast of Dorset, fills up with hundreds of colourful dancers and the town resonates to the sound of bells jingling, sticks thwacking and excellent music. The beating heart of the festival is on Sandpit Field; where there is also a family friendly craft fair and food stalls.

Some concerts are free and others you need to buy tickets for- prices from £15.00 – £30.00 per concert.

The Festival is self-funded and run solely by volunteers and profits are donated to local good causes.
