Kings Arms Wareham gets a revamp

Bringing the Kings Arms Wareham back to life!
The Kings Arms, North Street, Wareham re-opened it’s doors on the 1st July with Nick and Sam entrusted to take the reigns and manage the pub.
The Kings has had a revamp which has taken a lot of hard work; Bob and Caroline: The Pub Owners, with their vision and tenacity have dug deep in every sense to bring the pub back to life. It’s taken more than a few ‘Bob!’ They have encountered a few problems along the way but their decorator, Steve Lawson and other tradespeople have been amazing!
New warm and cosy decor for customers
Everyone has worked hard. Nick and Sam have been reviving the garden, cleaning endlessly, and managed to fill six skips with broken and irreparable items – but they are both excited about the new look of the Kings Arms.
The softening of the decor has made it much more cosy and warm and that has in turn attracted many customers including more female drinkers which both Caroline and Sam believe is so important.
An increasing number of women only groups are coming along which is great! Do local male regulars mind? Certainly not!! Having a pub that has a happy, safe and welcoming atmosphere is great for everyone!!

About the new managers, Nick and Sam
This is Nick’s first experience of managing a pub as he has spent the last 30 years in the Haulage Business but has been ready and rearing to delve deep into a new project and is looking forward to driving The Kings forward.
Sam has some experience of the Pub Trade having experienced working at The Horse and Groom. She is also known in the community as a local business owner having owned The Little Shop of Calm and in a past life was a Deputy Head Mistress. The Little Shop of Calm will continue on but with Sam less hands on and in a managerial role.
Offering a great pub experience
The garden is a great addition for the pub; large and attractive – a proper beer garden and hopefully, as always weather permitting, Live Music will be offered. Sam and Nick’s aim is to offer customers, both old and new, a great Pub Experience, listening to thoughts and ideas and taking that forward alongside the expertise and experience of the Horse and Groom Team.

Great food and real ale!
Great Food will now have it’s place as our new experienced and talented chef, Robbie is looking forward to offering his new and exciting menu, themed food nights, a supper club, good quality, freshly prepared meals – all aimed to please!
There will be four Real Ale pumps at centre stage of the bar, changing regularly to include both well established favourites and new and exciting ales to tempt all Ale Fans! For Cider aficionados we will develop a varied selection too!
We hope to mirror the same common values that have made our sister pub – the Horse and Groom in Wareham – the success that it is. Nick and Sam are both proud to manage the Kings Arms – It’s a lovely pub! “We look forward to being part of it, making it ours and will do everything we can to make it successful for the People of Wareham.”
