Wareham Wednesdays Celebrates 13th Birthday in 2024

Providing free summer entertainment and raising money for charity!
The annual ‘Wareham Wednesdays’ return in August 2024 to the quay in Wareham, Dorset. The event, which takes place every Wednesday evening in August offers fun, free entertainment at Wareham quay. However, behind the fun, the hardworking team of volunteers also hope to raise lots of money for local charities.
Supporting local charities
Now in its 13th year, Wareham Wednesdays is very proud to have contributed to many local charities and causes over the years. This year they are working four local charities, the Lexi May Trust, The Allison Campbell Trust, Willdoes and All Sort’d.
As you can imagine, this popular event, organised by a team of local volunteers, is not cheap to put on, and they rely on support from many local businesses!
They also raise money for charity from their bucket shaking and bar!
Unfortunately, since the pandemic, people no longer carry cash and hence they have struggled to raise funds. So this year, they have set up a just giving page (target is £4000), where you can donate at your own leisure.
Their bucket shakers will also be carrying card readers so please dig deep and help keep these FREE events going.
What's on this August at Wareham Wednesdays
This year there’s a packed program for August including a Masquerade Ball on the 7th August, Pirate Invasion on the 14th August, Wheelbarrow Race on the 21st August and Grand Finale and Raft Race on the 28th August.
